It was all smiles this week

Alright, so I admit, my last entry was a bit of a cold water splash. lol. I wanted to give a real summary of my week. Things are not really so bad. Really. Now, let me talk about my amazing less scary week.
Last weekend, I went to see my relatives in Drogheda. I got a ride going but came back after church on sunday with the bus and the luas (tram). I got off the luas only to be welcomed by a lovely new smell. I found out soon enough that there was a horse show. It happens on the first sunday of every month and for the first time ever i witnessed it. The travelers i ran into were really nice. The show started around 10 and I got off the train about 4 so I was definitely too late. Everyone was packing up to go home. I did see a boy riding his horse really fast on my street. the horse kept doing this thing where it stands on its hind legs. All I could think was, please do not land on me. Please. So, now, I plan to go see the show on the first of next month since it will be my last month in Dublin.
Monday, had a sweet day at work.. I had so much fun at work because I had so much work to do. That was such a surprise to me. For the rest of the week, I had intensive dance practice for the fashion show that DBS was putting together to raise money for the Make A Wish foundation.
On tuesday, I had a lovely dinner with the professor of my online class. This class goes with my internship here in Dublin. She is based in London so it was really nice to be able to have a whole conversation with her. Plus the restaurant was fabulous and the meal was delicious. I had a good time hearing about other student's experiences at their internships. It really was a fun night. It was even more fun knowing we did not have to walk all the way home. It would have taken about 40 minutes if we had done that. After dance on monday, I was about to start my 30 minute walk from the studio to the apartment when a girl walking with me asked where exactly I was heading and I described it to her. Turns out she used to live on the same street and there is a bus that goes from our street to Dame street. The bus stops one street away from college. I felt so silly because I had been doing this walk for three months and my bus is the same as the one my friends take after dance. I could have jumped on with them each night after practice. Oh, well.
Thursday, we had the performance and it was wonderful. The turn out was great and we had a bunch of VIPs attend too. There was an after party but I had to get up so early that i just walked around town with some of my friends and headed home.
I woke up at 5.30am on friday morning in order to catch a bus at Heuston station for 7. It was a 3hr bus ride to Galway. That was the second FIE trip. The first being the trip to Northern Ireland, Belfast and Derry. The rest of the group (of almost 70 students) had gone at 9am thursday morning but I wouldn't go since I had the show that night.
On arriving in Galway, like clockwork, I got a phone call from the lovely lady in charge of the trip, Ms. Elizabeth. Guess she knew what time the bus was arriving since she helped me find the the perfect bus in terms of affordable fare and time. She even kind of delayed the trip of the day so that I could jump on the bus and join them on that trip.
I had such a wonderful time in Galway. Between the wonderful hotel rooms, meals and relaxed schedule, it was a great trip. Did I mention it was free?
We just got back this afternoon. Everyone had so much work to do but I don't know if anyone actually did any work though since we were all just so relaxed and in a state of "blah" (as i like to call it).
So, here we are, getting ready for a new week. I have work in the morning, and I'm looking forward to a relaxed week since I do not have dance every night anymore. I also cannot wait for St. Patrick's day since it is a public holiday and once again, the FIE exchange program is taking us out for free. We get to see gaelic football and hurling games :) I can hardly wait.
So, Heres to a great week and if its not too late, Happy mother's day to all mothers out there. I was so used to the American date in May, that I forgot to wish my mom a happy mother's day :(
Cheers for now and thank you for reading.
